Dr. Mohamed Zaghoo
I am a faculty scientist at the US laboratory for Laser Energetics. My research interests transverse the excursive boundaries of planetary science, high pressure physics, and laser fusion energy. I develop new analytical & experimental methods to understand the interplay between the thermophysical properties of matter and planetary or high energy density phenomena. I am also interested in the nexus of science/energy policy and new technologies.
I obtained my MA in physics & PhD in Applied physics from Harvard where I held several national fellowships from NASA and Goldman Sachs. Prior to which, I had multiple research appointments at MIT, Stanford, CERN and Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics.
